Greetings,

Hello Ozier Family and šŸŽ„Merry Christmas🌟! Ā Welcome to the 20th edition of the šŸˆOzier Family Christmas Bowl ClassicšŸˆ. Honestly, I really can’t believe this has been going on for 20 years. It certainly makes me happy and I hope it brings a little joy to you this time of the year. While it’s a time to celebrate, it can also be a difficult time for others to navigate. I am so thankful for this family and to have the ability to work behind the scenes at OFCBC Headquarters with my esteemed colleagues, Doug & Philip, in helping to carry on this timeless and special family tradition. It has truly been and will always be a team effort. Before moving on to the excitement of this year’s coming action, it brings me great joy 🄰 to take a moment and reflect on last year’s competition. A huge congratulations and an attagirl goes out to the lovely šŸ†Marleigh Kate OzieršŸ†on her very first, and I’m quite sure not the last, Championship victory in the Classic’s 19th Edition. Well done, Sweetheart, and well deserved, from everyone at OFCBC and throughout our amazing Ozier family!!

ā€œbut they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 ESV

The 20th edition will be just like the 19 that have come before. This year also marks the second 12 Team College Football Playoff Bracket.Ā  As you will see, when making your picks, all of these games are listed at the very bottom of your pick sheet; even though they will be played throughout (see dates listed) the bowl schedule.Ā  All we ask is that you make your picks consistent throughout your playoff bracket (ie: you cannot pick a team later in the bracket that you chose to lose earlier in the bracket).Ā  Clear as mud? If you experience any confusion while filling out bracket, please give the CEO a call, free of charge and Venmo the hourly rate (Only the phone call is free……INFLATION) .

As we do every year, we continue to breathe excitement & hope into the many silly and obscure bowl games as we roll through all of the emotions like when we watch the much anticipated but rarely celebrated Celebration Bowl to kick off the contest. Ā Along the way, many of us will continue to find ourselves eliminated (many quicker than others) from the coveted trophy.Ā  It is usually then that we find ourselves pulling for other family members who are skillful, tactical & strategic enough to still be in contention (*As you know, this happens to be one of everyone’s favorite aspects of the Challenge*).

As we move along, please remember that you play an incredible role in this.Ā  Without your participation, we would not have been able to experience all of the memories, conversations, excitement, laughter, cheering or yelling (in victory and defeat) that is the true and real gift of this time together. Participation is what drives this beloved family tradition. It takes very little time or effort to participate each and every year. Youth participation is also very much encouraged as long as they make their OWN picks (Proxy’s will be met head on by the full strength of the OFCBC Legal Team – though I’m not at liberty to divulge the strength of said team or lack thereof). As always, please remember the blessing we share of being part of this great extended family. The OFCBC is a wonderful way to bring our ever-growing families together and it creates a way and reason to keep in touch with each other through all of the comings and goings we experience this time of year.

Now hurry up, the deadline is very quickly approaching! First game kicks off this Saturday (Dec 13th) @ 11:00 a.m. CT. Remember, when you submit your picks that it is time stamped.Ā  Also, you are just picking who you think will win as well as the TOTAL POINTS SCORED in the National Championship Game in case of a tiebreaker scenario.Ā  In this case, it is the closest without going over; unless all parties go over, then it goes to the closest.

We will keep the leaderboard updated as quickly as possible. I also recommend keeping a copy of your picks handy – that way when the team you picked is down 72 – 0 at halftime, you’ll know that you have the entire second half to take your frustration out on a load of laundry, a yard full of leaves or going out and buying a Christmas gift for the C.E.O.Ā  All kinds of great ideas!

And with that, I’ll wish you all the best of luck this year and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!šŸŽ…šŸ¼šŸŽ„šŸŽ…šŸ¼šŸŽ„šŸŽ…šŸ¼

P.S. – Each one of you is loved more than you will ever know. Ā Each one of you is so important. Ā Each one of you plays an incredible role in the life you live and the people you touch, whether you know it or not. Ā Each one of you is a gift from God. Life can be short and fleeting so don’t allow those moments to pass that someday you may wish you had back. A simple reminder to not take anyone or anything for granted. You all continue to touch my life in so many ways; and for that, I am forever grateful, forever thankful and forever blessed, by each of you. Merry Christmas Ozier’s, Smith’s, Adam’s & Cheek’s!!
